Influence on set design - Set designers and workshops of the late 19th century, e.g. the Gebrüder Brückner (1/2) or J. Mühldorfer, copied the dioramic painting technique by using the so called dioramic simple or double effect for set design. These effects included a professional application of complementary colour filters for lighting and created the illusion of motion. In 1994 / 95 set designer F. Berndt used K.F. Schinkel's sketches of 1816 for the W.A. Mozart's 'Magic Flute' opera (D. Barenboim /A. Everding) at the Staatstheater Unter den Linden in Berlin. Two of the sets worked with transparencies (3/4). |
